Ratings Explained
We use a 5 star rating system, from 0.5 to 5 stars. A 3 star rating reflects an average experience, typical of other Bars and Gogo bars in the same area, like Nana Plaza.
Our goal is to provide accurate, unbiased information for tourists and expats. We visit locations anonymously to ensure fairness, with no favoritism.
As many things have changed over the past 3 years we’re also building a comprehensive directory Girl bars, Regular bars, Restaurants, and Venues.
We hope the following explanations are helpful.
Drinks
3 stars means that quality and pricing are in line with the other bars in the area. Better prices and better pours get a better rating as it reflects that quality is above average.
Ladies
3 stars means the quality and selection of the ladies/ entertainers is average and on par with other bars in the area. A higher percentage of energetic and attractive ladies earns a higher score.
Lady Drinks
3 stars means that quality and pricing are in line with the other bars in the area. Better prices get a better rating, higher prices and multiple drink minimums get a lower score if not in line with other bars in the area.
Atmosphere
3 stars is average and reflects a clean and comfortable environment. A bar with better seating, better views or an updated look compared to other bars in the area earns a higher score.
Staff
3 stars is average and reflects good service as compared to other bars in the area and baseline expectations. Staff who are friendly, prompt, playful and take the time to explain the specials, pricing and lady drinks earn higher scores.
Overall Rating
3
This is the average of the previous 5 criteria that we use to rate locations. As before, 3 stars is average when compared to the other bars in the area.
A bar with a 3 star rating or higher provides a good experience in our opinion and should not be perceived as a negative review.
